Little Sprouts Phonics Programme
Role Description
Little Sprouts aims to help children from vulnerable backgrounds attain age-appropriate literacy and numeracy skills necessary for their primary school years. It consists of weekly sessions where volunteers guide the children in learning English and Math through interactive methods.
● Support young children between 6-8 years old on basic literacy and numeracy through phonics in a 1-to-1 setting
● Required to attend 1x volunteer training on the phonics curriculum.
● Best for volunteers interested in language skills
Role Requirements
● At least 17 years old
● Teaching background or experience in conducting class for young children would be an advantage.
● Mature, independent, reliable, and able to lead
● Able to manage 1-to-1 or 1-to-2 children in a small group setting
● Proficiency in English, Phonics, Literacy and Numeracy
● Required to sign the Confidentiality Consent Form
