Engage with international students as an AEIS tutor and volunteer

The Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) is for international students seeking admissions into MOE Primary and Secondary Schools. The beneficiaries come from transnational family backgrounds, having spent their early years overseas before relocating to Singapore. Due to disrupted schooling, language barriers, and financial constraints, they require additional academic support to prepare for the exam.

Day: Wednesday
Time: P2 level tutor: 10.30-11.30am / Sec level tutor: Any 1.5h slot between 1 to 5pm
Location: 5 Delta Ave

Role:

  • Provide academic support (Math & English at P2 level OR Math at Secondary level) to qualify for entry into a local primary/secondary school
  • Guide through practice questions and assessment books / Help student understand instructions and exam questions
  • Reinforce concepts using clear, step-by-step explanations
  • Offer encouragement and positive reinforcement to build confidence
  • Help student stay focused and engaged during sessions
  • Build a supportive and consistent learning routine

Requirements:

  • Able to commit weekly, for 6 months
  • Able to teach academic concepts clearly and patiently
  • Consistent, reliable, and punctual for scheduled sessions
  • Experience with children or youth is preferred
