This event aims to introduce NUS students to traditional Chinese culture through hands-on, interactive experiences. Activities such as DIY lacquer fan painting, bamboo weaving wind chime making, and traditional Chinese games (pitch-pot, Luban lock, nine linked rings) allow participants to engage directly with cultural practices. By offering tangible, participatory experiences, the event moves beyond passive observation and enables students to actively learn about and appreciate the richness of Chinese intangible cultural heritage .

The carnival-style event creates an inclusive and festive atmosphere that encourages students from diverse backgrounds to interact and socialise beyond the classroom. Through collaborative activities such as team-based challenge zone games and group craft sessions, participants are given opportunities to connect with fellow students, including international students and exchange students, thereby building a more cohesive and integrated campus community.

As a student organisation of NUS, NUSCS is committed to promoting cross-cultural understanding and harmony. The event is deliberately designed to be accessible to students of all ethnicities and nationalities, with activities explained bilingually (Chinese and English) to remove language barriers. By showcasing the richness and diversity of Chinese culture in an engaging format, the event aims to bridge cultural gaps and promote mutual appreciation within the NUS community。
