Mission The mission of the NUS Food Science and Technology (FST) Society is to foster a vibrant, supportive, and intellectually stimulating community for all FST students. We aim to enhance the academic, professional, and social experience of our members by creating opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. Through workshops, industry engagements, student-led initiatives, and academic support programmes, the Society seeks to nurture curiosity, develop technical competencies, and inspire a deeper appreciation for the science behind food. Our goal is to empower students to explore the full breadth of the discipline while cultivating a collaborative and inclusive environment.Beyond academics, the FST Society is committed to strengthening student welfare and building meaningful connections within the wider food ecosystem. We strive to bridge students with industry partners, alumni, and global networks, providing valuable exposure to emerging trends, research innovations, and career pathways. At the same time, we prioritise the well-being and growth of our members by organising outreach events, community-building activities, and leadership opportunities. Ultimately, our mission is to shape a cohesive student community that is passionate, resilient, and ready to contribute to the future of food science and technology in Singapore and beyond.
