Founded in 1956, NUS Chinese Society has always been promoting the Chinese Culture within the NUS community and the nation. Each year the six interest groups (Chinese Orchestra, MandoFilms, Chinese Calligraphy, Geyao, Crosstalk and 90° Drama) present excellent productions to the community. The three national competitions organized by us (National Chinese General Knowledge Competition, Singapore Tertiary Chinese Literature Awards, National Youth Calligraphy Competition) have impacted many young local talents. Recruitment for the NUS Chinese Society (华会) opens at the start of each academic year (every August - September) only. For detailed information, please follow our WeChat public account “新国大中文学会”.

新加坡国立大学中文学会（National University of Singapore Chinese Society)，成立于1956年。下设6个兴趣小组，包括华乐团、微电影、书画苑、歌谣、相声、90度话剧。3个常年举办的全国性大赛，全国青少年书法大赛(National Youth Calligraphy Competition)、 全国华语常识大赛(National Chinese General Knowledge Competition)、新加坡大专文学奖 (Singapore Tertiary Chinese Literature Awards)。华会招新季为每学年开始（每年8月-9月）前两个月，详情请关注微信公众号：”新国大中文学会“ 内关于招新的详细信息。

Mission
The NUS Volunteer Action Committee (NVAC) is a wholly student-driven volunteer organisation that serves the community through direct volunteering, youth empowerment and encouragement of community and student initiatives. The vision of NVAC is “Touching Hearts, Developing You”.



Our mission includes:

PROMOTE the active participation in volunteerism and social service in NUS

DEVELOP volunteers to enable them to discover and realise their full potential

REACH out to the community and benefit the less fortunate in society



Established in 1990 with the initial aim of providing an avenue for undergraduates to volunteer their time to help the less fortunate in society, NVAC has since grown to become a leading student volunteer organisation in Singapore.



In 2011, NVAC was conferred the prestigious Ten Accomplished Youth Organization ASEAN Award, which serves to recognize the efforts of all NVAC volunteers.
